Our social organisation

"assista Soziale Dienste GmbH" (assista Social Services Ltd.) has been operating under that name since 1 January 2004. Previously, the organisation was well-known as "Behindertendorf Altenhof" (Village for Disabled People "Altenhof") and "Das Dorf" (The Village), respectively. assista is owned by "Lebenswertes Leben" (A Life Worth Living), an NGO committed to supporting self-help and improving the living conditions of people with physical disabilities and neurological disorders.

assista is operating on the following scope (Upper Austria):

Das Dorf 1 "Das Dorf" (The Village) is an institution in Altenhof am Hausruck, where approx. 140 people with disabilities receive permanent care around the clock. Additional capacities are presented by the institution "CASA" in Linz and "Mobile Betreuung" (Mobile Care), which offers daily care in the Vöcklabruck region.

In addition to that, a number of external people from the region who require care make use of the structuring activities which take place in the workshops of the labour and leisure areas. There is also a great demand for the extensive services offered by the institute of physiotherapy, logopedics, and occupational therapy, which is not only used by the villagers but also by external patients who appreciate the high-quality services.
